Un Voyage dans l’histoire de l’Art: visite guidée au musée du Louvre

Honore gave us a splendid tour of Mont Saint Michel. He was very informative, cordial, and kind.

Had a nice tour of the British Museum, with a focus on the more popular or controversial exhibits.Our guide did a good job at navigating the crowds and giving us a nice overview in our short 2-hour window. Our guide was amiable enough and friendly.

This was a great tour, with but with frustrating communication from the company.

Our guide, Mila, was energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, which was great. (I had booked the tour because the elevator tickets were sold out and I didn’t think our two young kids would do well climbing the stairs. The guide was great and it was fun learning about the history of the building, but the main advantage was that we were able to use the elevator.)

The tour was supposed to start at 8 o’clock in the morning. We got frequent reminders to be there at least 15 minutes early. The day before the tour however, we received a message from a third-party saying “there’s been a mistake on your booking, The correct start time is 8 AM”.

Because we were staying pretty far away from the Eiffel Tower, and it was an early rising situation for us, I messaged and called the company a number of times trying to confirm this. No one got back to me.
We arrived at 7:45, no one showed up until 815. All fine in this scheme of things, but the meeting point is a random souvenir shop so we spent about half an hour trying to figure out if we were in the right place with no guidance.

The meeting point should be better marked, and apparently the switch was due to the Eiffel Tower changing to summer hours, which Is a perfectly valid reason for moving the tour earlier. I just wish there has been communicated to us.

Everyone on our tour had books through different parties, so perhaps there needs to be some essential hub too keep the lines of communication open
